The Challenge

The client was running a series of legacy B2B internal reporting tools on physical servers. The physical drives were nearing maximum capacity, routing switches lacked logical VLAN segmentations, and there was no automated failover mechanism if a single hypervisor motherboard failed.

Any server downtime directly delayed regional logistics processing, making a modern, clustered infrastructure setup critical.

The Approach

Norexter Solutions designed a clustered bare-metal virtual layout. We migrated the operational disks to three Proxmox VE hypervisor hosts, configured an isolated 10Gbps storage network, and set up a clustered Ceph pool to distribute active disk writes.

The Solution

By establishing Proxmox high-availability groups, virtual machines automatically migrate to active physical hardware if a system node goes offline. An OPNsense firewall blocks public internet access, restricting connection routes to WireGuard VPN connections.

Outcome & Metrics

The new infrastructure setup runs with full storage replication. System security audits verified strict segmentation of customer databases from other network areas.
